Tenuta Arabona is an organic wine farm located in the province of Pescara, precisely in the town of Manoppello. Our position is halfway between the Adriatic sea and the Majella Massif.

The company has been founded in 2006 by Maria Antonietta De Acetis and Domenico Radica. Actually the origin of the company dates back a long time ago. In fact the parents of the owner Domenico, already created a farm in the late 60's.
After completing his studies in farming, since the '80s, Domenico himself started to collaborate in the parent's company, increasing its size and starting a slow and deep restructuring. The most important change has been the conversion into organic farming methods.
In fact in 1991 the company received the organic farming certification, being one of the first companies in Abruzzo to obtain this certification.

In 2006 Tenuta Arabona winery has been built. We realized the dream pursued for a long time: to transform naturally all the products of our land, to offer to our customers a product of natural excellence.

Today the company is still family run and covers an area of 25 hectares of vineyards and 1 hectare of olive groves.
We mainly cultivate Abruzzo typical vines such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina. Montepulciano represents about the half of our production.

Our main focus is to produce high quality wines: in fact all the steps, from the cultivation, the harvest, the winemaking and the bottling are strictly controlled and led by the owners. The grapepicking is exclusively handmade and we work with a zero km process, as the winery is located in the middle of our vineyards and the grapes are immediately processed after being picked, and this allows to preserve their integrity and quality.

Our winery is equipped with the latest technologies for winemaking: we use modern technologies in accordance with local traditions, hygiene and healthiness.

During the years we developed different lines of wines, from young and fresh wines aged in steel for short periods to the Montepulciano that ages in wood barrels for several years. We also have line of sparkling wines , that are entirely made in our company with Charmat method.

Our wines have been awarded by several International awards, such as Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Mundus Vini, Millesime Bio challenge.

Our company recently obtained the "Bear Friendly" recognition, since we operate in the Majella Natural Park and help to the protection of the bears environment, thanks to the organic farming and practices that protect the biodiversity.

Tenuta Arabona's goal is to continue to preserve the authentic, natural flavours of the grapes and to offer to our costumers a unique and original wine, that fully transmits the passion, care and love for what we do.
