PLATINUM CRUCIBLE
Platinum crucibles are made of platinum with a purity of more than 99.95% through a special process.
Its melting point (1772 °C) is higher than that of gold. The chemical properties of it are very stable. It is nonabsorbent, and most chemicals can not corrode it. It is commonly used in the laboratory for silicate rock chemical analysis of silica.
