Flame retardant grade glass fiber reinforced PBT has the following advantages:
1. Superior mechanical characteristics
2. Good dimensional stability
3. Good electrical characteristics, flame retardancy, insulation, and leakage tracing
4. Good UV resistance and weather stability performance
5. Good high-temperature resistance
The PBT project is the latest period for industrial development, but it has developed rapidly after riding the fast trend of lightweight cars. PBT is used to dry various parts of the car, such as: car transmission gear box, car heat dissipation grille, door handle, air filter, etc.
Due to the particularity of the service environment, the automotive transmission gear box has a high demand for the performance of the materials used for drying, which requires excellent dimensional stability, temperature resistance and chemical stability.
So the PBT material with good high-temperature and corrosion-resistant properties was reinforced with glass fibers and flame retardant modified, reducing the shrinkage rate of the PBT material, enhancing its dimensional stability, rigidity, impact resistance, high-temperature resistance, and flame retardancy.
The smoldering grade fiberglass reinforced PBT can be stable, and the V-grade smoldering grade is 1.5mm standard, which is immediately visible when off fire. Leakage marking meets the requirement of 250V electrical marking.
Environmentally friendly flame retardant meets EU standard certification.
Compared to metal materials, the material processing process is simple, easy to produce, and has a low defect rate. There is no need for secondary polishing, which reduces comprehensive costs for enterprises, reduces the total weight of automobiles, and improves safety.
With the continuous improvement of modification technology in the plastic industry, plastic is increasingly replacing metal materials in automotive components.
