Properties: This product is a colorless transparent monoclinic crystal. Usually exists as dihydrate. The melting point is 101-102 °C. Relative density (19 ℃) 1.65. The refractive index is 1.440. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ether and ethanol. Sublimates at 157°C. The dihydrate is easy to weather and lose water to form anhydrous oxalic acid. Anhydrous melting point 189.5 ℃ (decomposition).
